I'm Having a (Constitutional) Party!

I am currently making phone calls for the Republican Party for the first and, very possibly, the last time ever. Why the first time ever? I am volunteering due to the introduction of Sarah Palin on the national leadership scene. She stands in stark contrast to the bland oatmeal of moderation the surrender fetish Republicans have become the last several years. She inspires a Reaganesque belief that maybe, juuuuuuust maybe, a politician may be beholden to something more important than their own election or their myopic political agendas.

I am working for John McCain because Obama is an admitted socialist. He is working to bankrupt the environmentally "unfriendly" coal industry, he told Joe the Plumber he is an income redistributionist (and sent the S.S. after him afterwards to destroy him), and he is a Universalist of the first order, blurring the truth of the real God into a grey pool of septic. McCain is the only hope our country has to keep Obama away from the Supreme Court and other federal judgeships.

Why possibly the last time ever? As I was watching Megan Kelly apologize to her viewers that McCain didn’t let Palin spend 10 minutes with her for an interview, I remembered that there are whispers that if John McCain loses this election, they will be throwing Gov. Palin under the Straight Talk Express bus, blaming her for their loss. If that happens, I will be politically active as I have never been before, but for a different party.

I suspect that my new party will be the Constitution Party, since it most closely represents my values and has a reasonably large footprint. This will cost the Republican Party most of their conservative base, and possibly cast this country into a Democratic Party mold for generations. I am willing to sacrifice for the short term to bring accountability what used to be a Grand Old Party. I am willing to allow the newly minted moderation party to suffer incalculably so that they never engage in the hubris they are currently dedicated to.

1994 proves beyond any reasonable shadow of a doubt that when Republicans run as conservatives, they win and win overwhelmingly! There is no doubt that conservatism carries the day to victory. The party, however, despises conservatism. It views the conservative base as a bunch of knuckle dragging clowns who have no sense as to the very enlightened ways we need to go. They begrudgingly yield to some very, very basic essentials so as to not send us Nascar-loving, gun-toting, Bible-swinging, God-dependant boobs running away in droves! In short, the party has made a calculation that we have nowhere else to go, and they can run wildly into the arms of center-leftism without consequence.

They wanted wide open doors to illegal immigration (so their country club grass will be neatly trimmed on a budget and their dues won’t go up). They warmly embrace monopolies; rewarding corporations for gobbling up smaller competitors (denying consumers true and better choices) while the freshly minted mammoth mega monopolies waste immense amounts in bureaucracies and bribes to their campaigns. They rush us headlong into globalism, losing our once great manufacturing base to overseas (richly rewarding the small group of extraordinarily super wealthy owners for doing so) as our world-envy middle class also flees overseas. They imprisoned police officers for shooting a drug smuggling felon in the butt or unleashing a K-9 unit upon a fleeing suspect, spending tens of thousands of our dollars to destroy their careers and unnecessarily imprison them for years. They were tacitly allowing government correctness in mortgage lending with Government Banks Sallie Mae and Freddie Mac (socialism) and they immediately resorted to mega billions of dollars to ‘bail them out’ (socialism) without calling out the actual villains in the Democrat Party who were at fault. They opened all their primaries to Democrats, ensuring centrist candidates nationwide. They set their faces like flint on a losing campaign in Iraq (Rumsfield’s incompetence) before the winning surge, and refused to eloquate the reasons we remained there after there were no W.M.D.’s found. They allowed gas to go double in price, lining the pockets of their biggest donors while poisoning our economy (already weakened by the move of our production base out of the country) and refused to force a vote for offshore drilling. They have surrounded themselves with and employed liberal Democrats in the most important positions in government, setting up Bruti in every nook and cranny where Caesar lives (see here for instance). They choose the invisible specter of some far off Global Warming scares over real jobs and industry here now. They have converted us from a manufacturing society to a consumer society. They have said that Reagan Conservatism must be redefined, while the Democrats would never, NEVER say anything of the sort about Roosevelt or J.F.K.

Now, they want us to believe that Sarah Palin and her Christian Conservatism is the problem. The Rockefellers are genuinely terrified that we get control back from them and their corrupt paychecks cease. They are desperately fearful that they will have to explain our weird views on abortion and marriage at their cocktail parties. They are mortified at the notion that Country Music Aficionados will have direct influence on otherwise enlightened government policy.

I have news for the Graft Old Party: Sarah Palin is your last chance, your last great hope for a future in this country. We don’t need two Democrat Parties. The only difference is one that pretends to be pro-life, the other actually admits to basic socialist tendencies like redistribution of wealth (while the other denies their socialism, but fully engages in it). Palin represents our last opportunity to recognize what the founders did, that God exists, and he has guaranteed freedom FROM the government, not freedom ALLOWED by the government. They knew that big government is inherently the enemy of freedom and human rights, not the proponent.

If the thuds you hear after this election are those of McModerate’s Straight Talk Express running over Palin, I work for the Constitution party to take as many votes away from the Republicans as possible until they come back their base. Remember, you can't throw under the bus the person on whose back the bus is riding. I invite you to come over to my new party as well if they try to kill true conservatism!
